Compared to saw blades made of HSS the use of solid carbide blades offers as a rule of thumb a 3-5-fold cutting speed and a 10-20-fold tool life. The basic prerequisites for this are stable and vibration-free machines that guarantee precise and backlash-free bearing support of the working spindle with high concentricity accuracy as well as compact clamping of the workpiece and fixture
