1: They keep machine borne vibrations from surroundings
2: They insulate precision machines against external vibrations
How to purchase the right shoe:
1: Determine the weight of your machine
2: Divide the total weight by the number of anchor points. You will get the maximal load per shoe; in case the weight is unevenly allotted, you will have to make a guess for the single shoe
