Design and use:
This bore gauge micrometer is a universal and robust 2-point comparator It is suited for measuring tasks in production, receiving inspection and testing as well as for final checks The centring happens automatically in the bore, the base being formed by the centring plate The wider the centring basis the more reliable the device will be centred in the bore

During the measuring operation the reversal point has to be defined This is done by oscillating of the device around the rigid measuring bolt In doing so, the minimum value point automatically is passed through, where the axis of the measuring device is exactly vertical to the bore axis On a mechanical display unit this will clearly be seen by the pointer´s change of direction Using digital display units a minimum value memory will be helpful
The measuring pins are as standard carbide ball tipped, wear parts are either made of carbide or wearproof, hardened steel

Adjustment via setting rings, micrometer screws or by use of adjustment tool ESU together with gauge blocks
